Commonly Asked Questions:

Where is Blue Owl Counseling?
We have an office in Wildwood Missouri and also do virtual appointments. We have parking spots right next to the building, including accessible parking.

How Do I Know if I Need Counseling?
I think therapy is a good choice if you feel stuck or if you feel like you aren't thriving in life. I believe that humans were meant to thrive and if something is getting in the way of that, we can figure out a way to get past that.

How Much Does Counseling Cost?
Right now, we are private pay only and it costs 100 dollars per session.

Can I Talk to You Before the First Session?
Absolutely, feel free to message me or ca
ll me! You can find more information in the Contact Me Section of the website.

My name is Michael Evetts and I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). I've lived in the St. Louis are most of my life and love the community. I also love animals and nature, my hometown sports teams and my family. More importantly to Blue Owl, I like to work with children, adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism related symptoms and trauma. I like to help people break down what's going on, explore with them why it might be like that and then see what we can do to help them navigate the future. A lot of times this can look like learning new ways to think of the situation, giving client's new coping skills or by giving client's a safe place to process their emotions.

My educational and professional background includes getting a bachelors from  University of Missouri-Columbia and a Master’s degree in Professional Counseling at Lindenwood University. I've had experience working as a mental health crisis clinician, behavioral health group counselor,  domestic violence hotline operator, school based counselor and private practice counselor. No matter what you brings to the counseling office, I've probably had experience with something similar.

I believe in meeting client's where they are at, wherever that is. I support people with anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, autism, grief  and a variety of other mental health symptoms.  I like to use different styles to help people including a person centered approach, cognitive behavior therapy and trauma informed care. It's not important for you to know what those terms are right now, as in counseling I will explain what we are doing and why.
